Timeless Black Film Look

My personal all-time go-to for a black-and-white look. 

I’ve used this preset as a foundation for both street and commercial photography countless times.

MY TAKE ON PRESETS:

Preset sets are never a finished product, and one preset will never work across every image, but what they will do is provide a starting point for your editing. Whether you have a specific look in mind or you just want to experiment with new looks - presets are a great way to broaden your experience and taste. Although not a prolific photographer, I do have a recognizable approach to my images - mostly done in camera; however, editing plays a massive part. In creating my range of presets, I’ve managed to find some consistency in the look of my images.

With all my images, I often start with a preset as part of my workflow before adding my tweaks and masking to achieve the final product.

RECOMMENDED USE:

This particular Preset Pack has allowed me to achieve some of my favourite film emulations, with all black and white images the key is the light. Shooting in a very grey, often flat light in London, there’s normally only a small amount of adjustments I will need to make. In stronger, higher-contrast light, I have found that playing with the whites and highlights will have a big impact on the outcome of the image.
